A lot of time went into this one... 3D modeling/texturing/rendering, then PS compositing, further painting and all that really took a lot of time. Plus the huge resolution didn't "help" at all, my old PC could barely handle it at just 1GB of RAM and 2GHz AMD processor.
This image was done in March 2006, with some minor touch-ups in 2012.
Original resolution: 7000x7581
Tech info:
-Lightwave 3D 8 for pretty much everything (planets, machinery, house, wooden bridges etc.) -Vue 5 Infinite for additional palms and background -Photoshop CS2 for post -stock used for bottom engines and pylons
-----------------UNBELIEVABLE!!!----------------- I can't believe I got a Daily Deviation...just like that. It's something that I did not expect to happen until much later, when my work would be better. I see everyday amazing DDs from very talented artists and, to be honest, I thought the road to a DD was much longer. Now what can I say? ....WOOOOHOHOHOHOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! There, that should do it My big thanks to for suggesting it and to for featuring it!!
