Artist's Comments

100% details:[link]

A lot of time went into this one...I can't tell exactly, but I can approximate it to more than 200hrs. 3D modeling/texturing/rendering, then PS compositing, further painting and all that really took a lot of time. Plus the huge resolution didn't "help" at all, my old PC could barely handle it at just 1GB of RAM and 2000MHz AMD processor.
This image was done in February-March 2006, with a facelift executed October 2007.

Original resolution: 7000x7581 @150dpi
Filesize: 520MB
Layers: 200+

Tech info:

-Lightwave 8 & 9.2 for pretty much everything (planets, machinery, house, wooden bridges etc.)
-XFrog 3.5 for palms and banana trees (rendered in LightWave 8 & 9.2)
-Vue 5 Infinite for additional palms and background
-Photoshop CS2 for additional painting
-stock used for bottom engines and pylons
-everything assembled in Photoshop CS2

Image info: will write later.

I can't believe I got a Daily Deviation...just like that. It's something that I did not expect to happen until much later, when my work would be better. I see everyday amazing DDs from very talented artists and, to be honest, I thought the road to a DD was much longer. Now what can I say? ....WOOOOHOHOHOHOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! There, that should do it;)
My big thanks to :iconurus28: for suggesting it and to :iconaeires: for featuring it!!

I wish to travel through the mist of dust,
I wish for wing that do not rust,
The metalic angel of my dreams
Love me or hate me,

Very nicely made.. Not really my type of thing to comment on. But some of this type of artwork just amazes me..
Really reminds me of some point and click adventure game.

Well, I am an absolute adventure game junkie...and I pay tribute to that in most of my work. I'm very glad my art impresses people who don't necessarily like this style. It's the ultimate reward for any artist.

Please excuse my harsh language, but oh shit! XD That's amazing. So much to say about it, but I can't seem to put it into words.
And I think the title fits it very well. It's a great fusion of nature and technology.
